Effective September 2, 2026
These terms cover two things: using this website, and hiring Stump Grinding Cheap LLC, doing business as Citrus Stump Grinding(“we”, “us”) to grind for you. Browse citrusstumpgrinding.com or put us on your schedule and you are agreeing to them. We are a family business working out of Floral Citysince 2007, three generations deep, and nothing below will be new to you — it is the same thing we say on the phone, on our FAQ page, and in your driveway before the machine comes off the trailer.
1. Using this site
- The site is here to explain what we do and to make us easy to reach. Use it for that. Do not scrape it, republish it, or try to break it.
- The words, the photos, and the logo belong to Stump Grinding Cheap LLC, doing business as Citrus Stump Grinding. Ask before you reuse any of it.
- We link out to partner businesses and to our profiles on other platforms. What those sites do with your information is on them, not on us.
- We work to keep the site accurate, but it comes as it stands. We cannot promise it is error-free or always online, and we are not on the hook for a decision made off a web page instead of off the price we hand you in person.
2. What the prices on this site mean
- Stumps between 13 and 33 inches usually land between $33 and $123. A minimum can apply to a visit.
- Size means the average distance across the stump where it leaves the ground. Doubling that width is close to four times the wood, so a stump twice as wide costs more than twice as much. That is geometry, not a markup.
- Squeezing through a 36 inch gate costs an extra $88 in labor. Give us an opening of 57 inches or better and that charge goes away.
- Every number on this site is a typical figure, given in good faith, and it can change. The only price that binds either of us is the one you approve at your property.
3. Getting a real number
- We price in person. A photo does not show root spread, slope, or what is packed in around the stump, so we do not quote from one.
- Estimates are free and we show up ready to work. The equipment comes with us, and grinding on that first visit is the cheapest way you will ever buy it from us.
- We do not price a standing tree. Call once it is down and dragged clear, and we will give you a firm number on the spot.
4. Exclusive offers
- Military, first responders, and anyone 65 or older get 10% off, every job, no questions asked.
- Several stumps on the same property can earn up to 20% off.
- Any single stump priced at $100 or more gets 10% off that stump.
- Offers do not stack — we apply whichever one saves you the most, and a minimum may still apply. The detail lives on our exclusive offers page.
5. How the schedule really works
- The route gets built the night before and worked in order, which is why nobody gets promised a time on the clock a day ahead.
- The moment we wrap the stop before yours, we ring the number on your job and tell you exactly when we are pulling in.
- Rain does not cancel your day. If equipment fails or something else major gets in the way, we call you that same day to move you.
- Most jobs happen within a day or two. We are not on the road Sunday.
- We cover Citrus, Marion, Levy, Hernando, Pasco, Sumter, Lake, Volusia, Gilchrist, Hillsborough, and Orange counties. If your property sits outside that stretch, call and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.
6. What a grind includes
- Depth. We take it down a minimum of six inches under grade — deep enough that grass fills the spot back in and no root comes up later to meet a mower blade.
- The grindings stay. We do not haul off or rake out the chips. Roughly 90% of them pile up right beside the hole, easy to spread or use as fill. Charging for the machine instead of the cleanup is exactly why the price is what it is.
- What goes through the machine.Just about any organic material — a hardwood stump, the roots around it, palm stumps, palmettos, old shrubbery.
- Tall stumps. There is a chainsaw on the truck. We can cut a stump or tree up to 12 feet before grinding it.
- Roots on their own. We can grind a root without taking the tree, but we cannot promise what that tree does afterward. It can lean, fall, or die. That call is yours, and we want you making it with your eyes open.
- Tight spots. Our machine is remote controlled, which gets us closer to houses and fences than a walk-behind can manage. Whether one particular spot works is decided when we are standing in front of it.
7. What we need from you
- Have the tree down and out of the way before we come to price it.
- Trim the green off any palmetto or shrub before we get there. Leaves and vines wrap the teeth instead of grinding.
- Tell us about anything buried near the stump — sprinkler lines, cable, invisible fence, septic. We cannot see under the dirt, and we are not responsible for damage to something buried that nobody mentioned.
- Make sure whoever can approve the price and sign for the work is reachable when we arrive.
8. Paying us
- You see the price, you agree to it, you sign, and then the machine starts. Nothing gets ground before that.
- We take cash, check, or credit card.
9. Your information
What we collect, why we keep it, and who else touches it is spelled out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Which law applies
Florida state law governs these terms. If a dispute comes up that we cannot settle by talking it out, it goes to a Florida court — the one for whichever county we did the work in.
11. Changes to these terms
When something about the work or the site changes, this page changes with it. Whatever is posted here, carrying the date up top, is the version that governs.
